Divergent by Veronica Roth

This month, I will be reviewing Divergent by Veronica Roth. Divergent is a great story about a girl named Beatrice (Tris) Prior living in a dystopian Chicago. The society is separated into five factions: Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). Once a year, all sixteen-year-olds select which faction they want to spend the rest of their lives in.

The Divergent trilogy is well written and each book has a new twist, which is what makes the book so amazing. This book is one of my favorite books because it is dystopian and has action and romance. I feel like Tris is such a strong character because she can't fit into one category and she doesn't accept help from many people because she is independent, which is why she is one of my favorite characters.

My Three Words: Action-packed, intriguing, and fantastic

My Recommendation: For fans of dystopian

My Rating: 5/5
